Saint Anthony Falls located in Minneapolis is fed from the great River Warren Falls, which splits into two separate falls at the junction of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers. The one that follows the Mississippi River became known as Saint Anthony Falls. This magnificent fall has a lift of 49 feet and the lock at St. Anthony Falls accounts for more than 10 percent of the change in height of the Mississippi River between the Twin-Cities area and St. Louis. Activities include Heritage Trail, a self guided two-mile loop with a visitor center. Tours are also available. Other attractions nearby include the Stone Arch Bridge.

At the Oliver H. Kelley Farm located in the neighboring community of Elk River, visitors can experience life on a preserved 1860s farm complete with gardens full of heirloom vegetables and animals. Visitors can pick vegetables or participate in churning butter while watching costumed guides work the fields with oxen and horses. Throughout the seasonal changes, you will see plowing with oxen, horse-powered threshing, haymaking and other harvest activities. The gardens and fields are populated with much of the same plants the Kelley farm grew over 130 years ago. Similar animals raised by pioneer families also fill the barns and outbuildings.
